FABRIC AND CARE

Mercerized cotton allows to give a feeling of freshness to the user at the same time that it is very resistant and its colors resist the passage of time. It is long fiber to prevent pilling and maximize strength. Pima cotton has the particularity of being long-fiber, which gives it these characteristics:

  • Extremely soft
  • Resistant to torsion and breakage because it is a high-quality long-fiber cotton
  • Little wrinkles
  • Fresh touch
  • Dries fast

We remind you that cotton is a comfortable natural fiber that absorbs sweat and does not transmit bad odors. This fiber ages with style.

DETAILS

Each Napo & Leon product bears its number on the label inside the garment and is, therefore, unique. The Polo Porticcio is a limited series of which 100 numbered garments have been made.

To allow you to wear this garment in more formal moments and not disturb its understated aesthetic, we have decided not to include any branding elements on the outside.

The collar is deliberately small and has three buttons (pearly in the white version). The sleeve rib is robust and narrower than the waist rib, allowing the garment to be worn over trousers.

This is a garment that we have developed with our partner after making 15 different versions to ensure that we have the most suitable fabric and shape.

The pattern is tight but comfortable for men of all morphologies who like to set their style. We have been inspired by models from the 50s and 60s that we have updated to give them this classic and timeless product vision.

The yarn we have used for our 12 gauge Pima cotton line from a reputable Italian spinner. The construction allows to achieve an ideal weight and make the most of the long fibers of this magnificent yarn. Fine but resistant, it is extremely soft and its colors will stand the test of time.

We are passionate about natural, top quality raw materials. They are comfortable, resistant and comfortable.

The name of this jersey is that of a city on the Gulf of Ajaccio renowned for its beaches and its refined atmosphere.

This polo shirt is for fans of refined looks, and who value the function of a knitted polo shirt and mercerized cotton. It can be worn in the most formal way even with a suit for a vintage but current and elegant look.

We also wear it to practice sports and take advantage of the freshness of the fabric.
For a more casual look, it is combined with jeans, chinos or shorts. This look worthy of Mad Men for a comfortable and versatile garment.

COLORS

We have chosen two very classic colors for this first limited series of mercerized cotton polo shirts.

Cloud blue: a classic Club color, reminiscent of these tennis matches on the clay of “Pré Catelan”, in Paris in the 60s.

Navy blue: a deep navy that refines the silhouette and combines innumerable colors as long as you are careful not to mix it with green or black. We love this navy, very dark and elegant.

Pearl: typical of the 50s, this beige color is a great classic of this time. Refined and elegant, it is ideal to wear with white or navy blue trousers.

Porto: a timeless color that can be used in both summer and fall. Ideal in summer to wear with contrasting light trousers and with dark trousers in winter or autumn.

Valinco Blue: a sustained, intense and deep blue like the bottom of our Mediterranean sea in the Gulfs of Corsica.

White: this white is a “latte” color, milk for a look more typical of the 50s and 60s, ideal to combine with linen pants of the same shade or with more daring colors. This white is delicate and refined.
